Field/Work was the gallery’s first official nature-based group show. It was an ode to the rich and fecund fields surrounding Mount Vernon bearing the bounty of tulips in April and sustenance year round. Work included: meditative and textural paintings by Jane Kidder, minimal color studies in watercolor by Pamela Mills, round hoop weavings by Sheila Shanti. Found objects and farming tools filled the gallery along with our first live musical performance by Celtic Trio Beltane Boys.

The Beltane Boys played a very moving set of Celtic ballads and story telling for our first free concert in the gallery.

Sheila Shanti hoop weavings based on the seasonal cycles of nature in all her variations of color and texture.

Pamela Mills watercolor studies based on views into nature.

Jane Kidder’s meditative paintings playing with the raw and the tended textures of landscapes.
