Together, Erin and I sat at her other bar, The Bottleneck, and while have a drink and chatting about her desires for a new burger and beer joint, I sketched a draft of the next drawing. She said, “hell yeh, I want that”. So that’s what we did. With elbow grease and a lot of salvage shopping we created a community-driven burger and beer joint to support local comradery within a limited budget. The communal table was made from a salvaged beam and the blue booths were both from the existing space. Thrift and grit made a space that has thrived, even during Covid. As Erin knows, “Support the community and it will support you!”
