CHANEYstudios is an architectural design and art studio run by Christine Chaney.

Christine has witnessed the positive changes design and creativity have made in the world around her. She dives in, gets curious and listens deeply in order to understand the true needs and wants of a client or concept and voice of an exhibit.  She is known for her considered, out-of-the-box point of view and creativity that is expressed in space, art and fashion. It is not the money or medium, scale or type of project or event being created, but the care and intention with which it is rendered. For Christine, art and design is not only about the product produced, but about the quality of the process and the healing that can happen along the way.

Trained in architecture at Ball State University with nearly 40 years experience in commercial and residential design and a lifelong consuming passion for art and nature, Christine Chaney has recently added arts’ curator to her resume. In the darkness of the pandemic in 2020 Christine and her husband and another couple bought a derelict downtown Mount Vernon, WA storefront and renovated it into their live-work homes and her design/art studio with a storefront gallery and shop called theWABASHproject; a space for healing brokenness through creativity and contemplation. It’s a lofty goal, but worth the pursuit as Christine believes in the healing power of creativity and nature.
